Winners

What it means to win

Recognition that travels with your trade business long after the ceremony lights go down.

The honour

More than a trophy on the shelf

Winning at the Construction Awards Network is the most credible third-party endorsement a trade business in the region can earn. Our categories are tightly focused on the trades that build, maintain and improve the homes and buildings of the North West — builders, roofers, plumbers, carpenters, tilers and electricians — and every winner has been independently assessed against the same published criteria by a panel of senior practitioners drawn from across the regional industry.

The award is not bought, voted for or sponsored into existence. Each category has a single winner selected by the independent panel after a three-stage review of written submissions, supporting evidence, customer references and — for shortlisted entries — a follow-up conversation with the judges. That rigour is what gives the trophy its weight and what makes the winner's mark a meaningful signal of trust to homeowners, main contractors and commercial clients across the region.

For sole traders and small firms in particular, this kind of credible, independent recognition is rare. It places your business alongside the very best in your trade and gives customers a reason to choose you over the competition long before they have even picked up the phone to ask for a quote.

The commercial impact

What winning does for your trade business

Past winners consistently report that the award generates tangible commercial benefits in the months that follow the ceremony. The combination of independent endorsement, regional press coverage and the right to display the winner's mark on quotations and marketing materials has a measurable effect on win rates, average job value and the calibre of leads coming through the door.

  • A clear differentiator on quotations and proposals against unaccredited competitors.
  • Stronger conversion rates on enquiries from discerning private clients and homeowners.
  • Access to specification and approved contractor lists run by larger main contractors.
  • An easier route to recruiting skilled tradespeople and quality apprentices.
  • Increased credibility when applying for finance, insurance and trade accreditations.
  • A platform to charge for the standard of work you actually deliver, not the market average.
The ceremony

A night that recognises the trade

Winners are revealed on stage at our headline ceremony in front of more than six hundred guests drawn from across the regional construction industry. Each winner is invited up to collect the trophy, receives a professional photograph of the presentation, and is interviewed for the post-ceremony coverage that goes out across our channels and the regional trade press.

Every shortlisted business in every category receives a finalist's certificate and recognition on the night — winning is the headline, but earning a place on the shortlist is itself a credible mark of quality in your trade.
